I was just wondering if there was a way to make a virtual cockpit of aircraft that you download.  I have some really nice aircraft that only have 2D panels and I was wanting to add a virtual one.   Is this something that can be done or is it something that has to be done when the aircraft is being made?

This is done when the aircraft is made. It is in the *.mdl file which cannot be changed, unless the author includes and editable one.
