I have just made a new hangar in GMax and placed it in FS2002 but the only time that it showed up, there was no roof or textures. I ave not seen it since

I can assure you that if you do do things right, scenery shows up fine

I think we need to know what you're doing - but I suspect you might need to spend a little bit more time on the tutes first. I've said it a million times (boringggg!)

Is it possible that I used too many shapes (I used 7 Planes). The only time it showed up Everything was on its highest level. (Scenery quality etc) and that was real slow

No!

Sceneries contain hundreds of objects most of which have many faces or sides all of which are textured.

You'd need more than your little hangar to baffle the design progs!

Even though I got GMax with my pro version I've never used it.

Why don't you start 'simple' and make your hangar using EOD and FSSC first. Guarantee you'll have results before you know it.
