Hello you expert scenery designers. Could anyone update the scenery for the Oakland International Airport (KOAK) and the Hollywood, Burbank Airport (KBUR) terminals?. The Oakland airport does not have the correct texture for the apron in the passenger terminal area (its just dirt), and the KBUR airport shows a tall building where the passenger terminal should be. Although they are currently building a new terminal, it is only a one story terminal, not the 5 level structure actually shown in FS. and where they have such structure now is a real 5 level parking structure. I downloaded Scenery Creator, but I am having a hard time getting started. Looks like all of the measurements needed are in the metric system. Thanks for considering my suggestion.
Hernan ;D

Hernan. You might not get too many takers. Designers are usually ordinary people like you. Most will work on stuff they know well or have a particular interest in, particulary where updating airports is concerned.

To work in feet, set the "Default unit of Measure" to Standard from FSSC Tools/Preferences.

Hello Herman,

I have FS SCENERY ENHANCER by LAGO and still new to it... Amongst it, I have several other scenery programs that I am still working with.  But, to cut to the chase...

I can try to do something with Oakland (KOAK), as I only live about 35 miles from the airport and have been there numerous times.  As far as Burbank goes... you are on you own, I live to far to go and check out Burbank.

;)

I am also working on updating KCCR (Buchanan Field, Concord, CA) my home airport (a very short hop by airplane to KOAK).

Hi BE. I've seen some examples of what FSSE can do & must say I'm impressed. The only problem (as I understand it) is that to use your files Hernan would need to purchase FSSE himself.

Hi BE and hello Doug. Lately I've been spending a lot of time with AFCAD realigning the airports I purchased from SimFlyers. While working at the ATL airport I was so surprised when I saw the service vehicles driving around the parked airplanes, it was so real. I also downloaded some freeware airports for South America like, SAEZ, SCEL, SBGL and with the help of AFCAD I was able to realign the runways, taxiways and mainly, the parking areas since I was able to set up some basic AI traffic for Aerolineas Argentinas, LanChile and Avianca. I also bought CaptainSims Boeing 727 and I was able to do two repaints for Lloyd Aereo Boliviano, I also did some AI traffic for all of these airlines, but , as I opened each airport I finished realigning to check if things were correct, suddenly I noticed the airport gates were empty, like a ghost town, no AI traffic !. I checked my aircraft.txt file, all of the airplanes are there, FlightPlans.txt are also current, and just to test I added a JetBlue flight plan, after running it with TTools, still nothing shows up. I don't want to go through uninstalling FS again, I may loose all of my SimFlyers airports, and its really hard to reinstall them again. Any suggestions?. By the way, I have downloaded FSSC and I plan to update my KBUR airport, I live in Pasadena, just a few minutes away from the KBUR airport. I also want to do SLLP and SLVR airports, but after laying down the runway  I cannot figure out how to start creating the terminal building, I really have to spend more time reading the tutorials... Hernan ;D

Hi Hernan. The most common cause of all AI traffic suddenly disappearing is deleting the default.dp file by mistake. This file should be in your FS2002\AIRCRAFT folder. If it's missing you can extract it from AIRCRAFT.CAB on CD - 1 with WinZip. Try this first. If it doesn't help I can make other suggestions.

Good luck with your scenery design. ;)

%$@#! I keep forgeting about that one little set back! There must be some talented programmer out there that can write a program to convert the .SE1 file to a .BGL file.  The one and only thing that really impresses me about FSSE is the ability to just drop the scenery into FS.

Hey Bro,
It might not be too hard, but then it might considered copyright infringement since that type of file is registered by LAGO even though you put it all together.
That is the one reason I didn't buy FSSE is that you cannot share unless others have the progam as well! I think it is great for screenshots on the fly, but that's about all as far as I am concerned.
I do like the LAGO soundscape, having ambient sounds around you is pretty sweet! ;D
