Un-liftable liftable objects

Postby Dave T » Mon Apr 25, 2016 3:54 am

I was trying to create a few playgrounds for heli operations in blank areas for sling loads but the liftable objects remain firmly planted to the ground.

Checked using my ai carriers slingload propane tank and was able to lift the load so no problems with heli sling.

anybody have any ideas why the objects are un-liftable? below entries for objects xml

</SceneryObject>

<!-- Library sceneryObject: Mis_Pallet_Load -->

-<SceneryObject altitudeIsAgl="TRUE" imageComplexity="VERY_SPARSE" heading="0.000000" bank="0.000000" pitch="0.000000" alt="0.000000" lon="-122.518823" lat="38.016841">

<LibraryObject scale="1.000000" name="327753AF45779729A04D84964DBDB9BD"/>

</SceneryObject>

<!-- Library sceneryObject: Mis_Portable_Generator -->

-<SceneryObject altitudeIsAgl="TRUE" imageComplexity="VERY_SPARSE" heading="0.000000" bank="0.000000" pitch="0.000000" alt="0.000000" lon="-122.519188" lat="38.016811">

<LibraryObject scale="1.000000" name="5457FA2B420A18EF73928EB0BED0DF89"/>

tried changing altitude IsAgl to false and the objects sank into the ground placed objects with the default object placer in the SDK pack.

Thanks Paul I think my problem is ai carriers works because it treats the objects as ai. When placed in the scenery it treats them as a static objects. Using the sdk object placer you can select ai and the objects I want to use show up but I am struggling to get a useable bgl or traffic file for object placement. I wish that Microsoft had made a manual for the sdk's it would have been useful about now.

Found some more info on how someone else did liftable objects for FSX, going to read through it and give it a try over the weekend.

Talking about lifting objects.... :think: ....

I've just purchased a nice, red, Paddock Stand, to lift my back wheel of my Cruiser off the kick-stand to enable me to spin the rear wheel, to oil my rear chain.

None of this walking up and down the garden path wheeling the bike and spraying oil on the chain as I go!... :cry: ....!

Its nice when you have the ability to lift things!... :dance: ...!

Paul.... :D ...!

P.S...Sorry Dave!.... ;) .... ;) .... :lol: ...!

Thanks Paul the weathers all over the place at the moment but I have liftable objects placed in the scenery but you have to start from a saved flight.

I now have liftable objects at VRMM and between CA35 and SRF starting from a saved flight for slingload action.
