I just found this , so maybe the rest of you know about this , or , maybe you'd like to know ??

But I came across this "Replacement" GPS for the Default FSX Garmin 500 GPS in FSX.

its called the "KRON 500WX GPS"

It does more with the Screens apparently than the Default FSX one does, from what I gather .

I have NOT yet personally tried it out yet tho , but plan on it !

I pass this info on to you other Sim Pilots who may also want to "Tinker & Fidget" around with this New Style GPS ~ !

Also may be great to add to some panels and other Aircraft for Aircraft & Panel Designers.

The gauge pack also contains a verion that starts in full-screen mode.
In order to use that, use the gauge "gps_500wxF" (instead of "gps_500wx").

To run the GPS in full-screen mode by default, use the gauge "gps_500wxF" instead,
when editing your panel.

from what I gather the RED areas indicate Terrain Avoidance areas

The colors have been better enhanced than the Default FSX version it says.

I haven't yet tried it , but I wanna find out if I'll lose my A,I. Traffic showing in this or not ??

also has more SCREEN capabilities it says.

My Dog doesn't even listen to me !!!!!!

She just sit in there in the living room, hasn't moved in 2 years still in the same spot !

Sitting next her Lion and Tiger !

none of em' ever move or listen to me !

of course,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, their ALL Stuffed , Dunno' if that makes any Difference or NOT ?

is it better than the Default Garmin 500 ?

and will I lose my A.I. Traffic showing in it ?

because I have that 1 upgrade that for whatever reason isn't showing up on Simviations site anymore that added A.I. Traffic into the GPS with little yellow squares and gave its ALT Heading and to , from Airports where they were headin'.

I haven't installed it yet , but, I'll probably try it out in separate Aircraft at 1st to see, and see what you have to say before I do.

I've been looking for that TCAS-esque GPS mod for a while now. No wonder i can't find it anymore.

The only problem that I found is that you have to add it into one of the CFG files FOR EACH AIRCRAFT. Not that you have to add it to ALL aircraft.

So just try it on one & see what happens.

I've been using it so long that it seen normal.



If that doesn't have what you want, try the OZx GPS.

But I like the Kron GPS better.
