Sketchup model to Airport Design Editor X

Postby pcarvalho » Sun Oct 19, 2014 9:15 am

I have a terminal building in sketchup and I wanted to add it to my airport. I know how to add scenery outside an airport (Sketchup -> Model Converter X -> Addon Scenery Folder) but I would like to know if there is any way I can get my model and add it to ADE X.
Thanks a lot

Add your model to an object library or create a new object library for it.
Then add the library in ADE. You should then be able to place your object
anywhere.

When you have the model in ModelconverterX you can save it as *.mdl file. In the ModelconverterX package is also a make library program. Use this to add all your *.mdl objects to an object library. Add this library to your scenery together with the textures in the respective directories. ADEX has an import function for library object. Import it there and after this, you can use it within ADEX. Hope this helps

But how do I import a library object to ADE? Is it the "Import BGL" one? But then I can only select the BGL file, which does not include the textures (does it?). I've tried it and nothing appeared on ADE....

Open ADEX, click on "Tools" at the top in the toolbar. Then select "Library Object Manager". Then you can select "Add File" or "Add Folder" O0
