Scenery installed automatically by FSX

Postby gordie3640 » Thu Jul 25, 2013 10:42 am

I've been having a ball placing objects on and around the regional airport 1 mile North of me in Kenosha, WI. One burr under my saddle is objects that are in error. FSX has placed a large cylindrical tank where in reality there is one of those bulb type water towers on a slender column.

Question: Is there any way for me correct this?

Hi!

That's a pretty simple fix. First off, you need to find a model to use. FSX has a couple, but I'm not sure if you want a custom model or just the default. Once you have found a model to use, you will have to go into either ADE or SbuilderX and create an exclude. (I personally would use ADE as I have had problems off and on with SbuilderX)

In ADE, just draw an exclude rectangle around the object you wish to remove then make sure the Exclude all check-box is checked. Save all changes and put the new .bgl's into your scenery folder.

That should be it.
