Another 'Can it be done?'

During a MP flight, a question was raised, "Wouldn't be nice if our planes could drop weight as we sent the paratroopers out the doors?". Are there any ideas on gauges that might be modifyed to simulate that? I think that the Connie has a fuel dump gauge that drops two of the tanks (dumps?) out of the aircraft? Any ideas?
