Something I do to make sure I don't have to do this, is to just have one panel for each aircraft type (e.g. B737, A330) in a separate 'cockpit' folder in 'aircraft', and then alias each separate plane's 'panel' folder to this one - same with engine sounds. You then need to do any amendments only once.
