Autogen Trees?

Postby Tunafish » Wed Apr 27, 2011 10:42 am

Greetings!

Does anyone know how to remove autogen trees/buildings in FS9?
On my airfield there are consistently trees in the middle of the parking area, as well as buildings I cannot remove.
I have tried a variety of exclusion rectangles that don't work.......
And keep being haunted by BrandonF's reply to another post on this subject! ;D..........

If it is for FS9 then an exclusion rectangle set to exclude all is known to work for trees.

Thanks Scruffyduck for that: it is for FS9 and I've tried exclusion rectangles for "everything" to no avail.
Would love to try an SBuilder exclusion; but how does one do that when the airfield was made with AFCAD2 which isn't recognised by SBuilder? :-/

Well you will need to create a separate bgl file for the terrain elements.  You are not loading the AFCAD file into SBuilder but creating a separate background flatten/exclusion in SBuilder and then create a bgl file for them.  I have some tutorials (bit old now) on www.scruffyduckscenery.co.uk.  Click the Tutorials link and then look at Airfield Regression etc.

Many thanks Jon for pointing me in the right direction: I've downloaded the Airfield Regression tutorial and can already see this is going to be much more than just interesting reading!
Can't understand why I missed all this good stuff, including all about different layers and inserting all kinds of polies.
A whole new world of scenery creation opens up!
Cheers!  :D
