Airport Design !!

Postby mabelle1 » Wed Nov 24, 2010 2:43 am

Hi,

I'm not new to FSX but would now like to start designing and creating my own Airports into FSX. Does anyone know or could anyone recomend a good airport design program that would allow me to do this as I'm having trouble finding one !!! Also do I have to have the FSX 'Deluxe' version in order to be able to do this ?   Many Thanks in advance for your time........ Doug

You need FSX Deluxe because you need FSX SDK installed and that is only on the Deluxe CD.  Also you need the correct version of SDK installed.  See this for more information:

To modify existing airports and design new ones I use Airport Design Editor and it is free.  ADE is also just as good if not better than anything you can buy.  This does not allow you to design buildings, that is a different program.  ADE only uses the existing buildings in FSX or ones that you can download from people who have designed and posted them for download.  Download ADE from:

ADE support forums:

There is a Scenery & Panel Design section in these forums.  Post any questions about software to create buildings there.
