When my flight sim is not running and I go to the flight sim folder and into addon scenery there are all my bgl files ? weird how is this why can the bgl files not be seen when flight sim is running help.

You don't add the files to FSX, individual files can't be added to FSX. It adds folders that are active in the Scenery Library. If \Addon Scenery is already active in FSX then you need to do nothing more.

FWIW, I would recommend NOT using \Addon Scenery, but make a new folder (with a scenery and texture sub-folder) and activate that within the Scenery Library.

If you're referring to adding the scenery objects in the Scenery Library.....

were have they disappeared to.
Individual files do not show in the 'Select Scenery Directory' window, only folders.

When you select 'Add Area' in the Scenery Library, you are telling the sim where to find the scenery files (.bgls and .bmps), your not identifying the individual files. In this case (for example only) you would only need to 'add' the Addon Scenery folder and the sim would know to look in the scenery and texture subfolders for the files.

BUT....The Addon Scenery folder is, by default, already active in the Scenery Library. The sim already knows to look in the \Addon Scenery\ subfolders (scenery and texture) for any scenery files, and will do so each time you start the sim.

In Instant Object Maker:

Did you 'Generate the file to a specific location'? If so the object should show up in the sim. If they're not, are you sure the coordinates are right.

Did you 'Generate a library.......'?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
