Taxi Gauge

Postby ivormills » Mon Aug 27, 2007 1:45 am

I have the standard 'taxispeed' gauge installed on my panels but wondered if there was an 'intelligent' gauge that you could activate after landing that would follow the AFCAD taxiways to the gate the way that AI aircraft are able to do? I suppose if you knew how the code worked you could maybe also create a follow me vehicle to do the same, but a gauge would be favourite.

Thanks

That's actually a very interesting idea, though I have no clue how it would work. Since the sim has a  feature called "progressive taxi" that gives pilots a highlighted visual trail to follow while taxiing acording to ATC instructions, it might be possible to try to tap into that somehow. Perhaps a module could be made to do this. Like I said, I wouldn't know where to begin, but it would be pretty slick if someone could figure out how to do it.
