Open up the downloaded file, and copy over the panel folder which should have panel.cfg, and a few bmp files into the aircraft folder, replacing the original panel folder. Copy the gauges into either the FS2004/gauges or into the panel folder

Most of us just install panels and sound to the fsfsconv folder and then alias them to any aircraft:
The panel.cfg looks like this:

[fltsim]
alias=fsfsconv\panel.a320_marciano

Aliased panel.cfg files come default for many FS9 aircraft.

sound files are aliased the same way:
sound.cfg looks like this:
[fltsim]
// alias=beech_baron_58\sound
alias=beech_king_air_350\sound

The aliased panel will use any wingviews in th [VIEWS] section of the panel.cfg
