How to do Photo Real Scenery

Could someone out there in "Designer Land" please point me to tutorials or other information on making "Photo Real" scenery. :question :question
I am interested in how photos are intergrated into model buildings, etc.

The textures are easy enough, just use pics from the net or your own from a digital camera and convert them to bmp format. Then it's just a matter of applying them to the object in whatever design program your using.
