XML Gauges Modification for Dummies...

Postby Threadkiller » Tue Aug 08, 2006 5:05 pm

hi guys

i recently downloaded Alphasim's Canuck. i added an xml gauge from my Gloster Pioneer to the Canuck, this gauge controls the 'jet-flame'effect and smoke with throttle, thing is that when im at iddle power the flame is on...and thats not very realistic. i tried to modify the gauge myself but i got lost... so i was wondering how can i modify the gauge so the flame shows at 80% throttle and the smoke at 40?

now, currently i have to trigger the smoke with the smoke (I) key...no fun either cuz i often forget ::)

thnax guys :)

Well, I would guess that editing that gauge is going to be a bit time-consuming, but here's two tips:

1. Create a copy of the gauge and rename it for editing, as you probably don't want the original to change if you still fly the Gloster Pioneer.

2. Go to FSDS and check out their "Panel Design Questions" section.  They should deffinitely be able to help you out.
