add ons to panels, cause function w not to work

I am new to this altering Flight Simulator aircraft using add ons. Is there any literature out there that talks about this subject for people whom want to get involved with? Also, after I changed in aircraft, caused original Flight Simulator 2004 program to cause the w key to be inactive. Can somone help?

There are lots of tutorials out there concerning panel design, acft. and scenery design. Search for them. It's all a learning experience and patience is required.

Best I can tell you is play around with what you want to do, BUT ALWAYS BACK UP FILES YOU ARE GOING TO EDIT!

What do you mean when you say W doesn't work?

Does it have no effect at all or just not show you what you expect to see - toggling through panel, minipanel, no panel?

Go into the settings/assignments menu and make sure W is assigned to Panel On/Off.
