it's kicking my*ss!!

well, I'm having a really hard time trying to finish anything to be used in FS9.

Still having problems with my aircraft model and the landing gear animation, now im hacing problems with the transparency on the propeller......

I bought EZ Scenery in order to add objects to my airports, and even it states you can add objects made using gmax, I see nothing in the help files that came with it that explain how to actually do that. Every time I try to open a bgl not included with the download, it tells me it was not made with EZ scenery....so that's that.

and finally, I managed to create a control tower in gmax, exported it to scenery mdl, then modified the coords. in the xml, compiled it a bgl.....added it to my custom scenery....fired up FS9....and sure enough...the control tower is nowhere to be found.

It sure makes you want to just throw the whole thing out the window......

any suggestions as to what the problem might be with the control tower I created in gmax and doesnt show in FS9 ?

I didnt get any errors during compilation FWIW

thanks.

p.s. could you software developers PLEASE take the time and include comprehensive help files with your software? speacially if it is payware?

hector

One thing I've found that makes things easier (although using FSDS, the techique would still work the same) is to add a simple large, tall object within your project, and try exporting that with the coordinates you have input.

The easiest way to place an gmax mdl in FS9 is to use Arnos Object placer available here: http://www.scenerydesign.org/forum/downloads.php

It is very simple to use (well if I can use it ;D).  Just read the instructions with the program.

Also make sure you have the custom folder in which you placed your bgl selected within FS9.
