How to remove trees and buildings?

Postby DeepSpace » Wed Jan 11, 2006 8:31 am

Hi, I designed my own fictional airport. Everything is perfect, except for those trees and buildings that are all over the place. How do I remove them?

Thanks.

Hi DeepSpace,

I had exactly the same problem. FS creates 'autogen' scenery, which is fine unless it is in the middle of your newly created runway!
You need to exclude the scenery from the area you are working on, download ExcBuilder V2.0 here: http://www.scenery.org/design_utilities_b.htm

It works like a dream with a litte practice, and links to FS9 if you download the module as described in the readme.

Let me know how you get on

Exclude code can be written the old-fashoined way, too: by hand.

[Area.##]
Title=flatten-somewhere
Local=Addon Scenery\flatten-somewhere
Remote=
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE
Layer=##
Flatten.0=300,S2 25.81,W79 19.37,S2 25.81,W79 18.94,S2 26.11,W79 18.94,S2 26.11,W79 19.37
Exclude=N16 56.77,W99 45.85,N16 56.52,W99 45.58,all

The Exclude codes are entered counter-clockwise: North, West, South, East

As mentioned, FlattEx is a lot smipler   ::)
