Creating a new airfield in FS9?

Is it possible to create an airport in FS9 so that it shows up in the list of airports and can be accessed by the GPS system?  Not the graphics particularly but the coordinates, elevation, etc.
I would like to create (restore) a grass field used by the RAF in WW II, so that it shows up in the airport list and can be selected in EZ/GPS from Abacus.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated...

An airport created by AFCAD will show up on your list of airports and on the GPS.
