How to Add a Windsock

Postby alankusa » Wed Aug 03, 2005 8:21 am

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me the easiest way of adding a windsock to FS2004.

I am creating the missing Airport at Walt Disney World but I cannot figure how to add a windsock.

I found one but it does not change when the wind blows. I would like to use something as simple as the default windsock you would find at any airport it seem to work well.

I am using AFCAD and also FSSC for the design.

I would appreciate the best solution.

you can download a funtional dynamic API  ,  I can remember the site .....  it was a choppers site....hovercraqft I guess

and if you use ScenGenx you have the option of adding
a windsock.....u can even pick the colour

You shouldn't really be using FSSC nowadays but as you are, if you pm me your email address I'll email you 2 windsock APIs that Derek Leung kindly sent to me 2 or 3 years ago. You'll get a really nice working windsock in full colour. But you have to place 2 of them (one at each end of the runway  ;) ) in your scenery for them to work. It was an old Scasm problem.
