I would like to know how to activate the gps icon on inst. panel. Somehow I have lost 4 of them. The rest are ok. Believe I lost them when I installed the default fs9 gps on my ATR72-500 and clicked "save ---- to all files." Stupid move. They are on default and installed aircraft on FS9. I thank you for any help. New at this, but would like to learn.

For MS default panels extract and copy the aircraft/name_of_aircraft/panel/panel.cfg files from cd (#1, I think).
For other aircraft you are either goint to have to re-download them and get the panel.cfg files or learn to do some panel modification to restore working icons.

hi riselle,
to activate popups like the gps and avionics they have to be installed as sub windows and given PRECISE idents ie
GPS_PANEL
RADIO_STACK_PANEL
They will not work otherwise. Suggest you open some default panel.cfg files using Wordpad and see how it's done. It's the easiest way to learn.
CFGEdit.exe will NOT name them correctly. You can create them and position them in CFGEDit but you have to name them manually by editing the panel.cfg with Wordpad.
