Hi Guys
Tiger63, please ignore this if it is old news to you, but I thought I would toss it in in any event.
Martin Wright's GSL tools are for adding scenery object layouts to airfields, not for adding the airfields themselves.
You can't add airfields using Martin Wright's GSL tools.
Airfields- the runways, flatten areas, ground polys, etcs, that are useable in Free Flight and Quick Combat- are bgl based and need to be created using programs such as FSSC, Flight Simulator Scenery Creator, by Derek Leung.
What the GSL tools pack from Martin allows you to do is to populate your new airfield with scenery objects that you add directly to the CFS2 GSL (ground scenery layer) via Mission Builder.
In other words what GSL tools allow you to do is skip the process of including scenery objects layouts, based on API macros, in your add on airfield bgls. However, airfield bgls files created using programs like FSSC are still required in order to have a usable airfield.
GSL based scenery object layouts ( as opposed to bgl based scenery object layouts) also allow the objects to be destroyable- where objects layouts of API macros were not.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers,
Chris
