HGHB gauge error...

Postby flerman » Tue Aug 03, 2004 12:56 pm

From the "FS2000/ 2002 Boeing 747-1/2/300 series"  the archive "747_classic_panel_fs2x.zip" contains the file "hghb_ed461a_ctrl_2.gau" which generates an "HGHB gauge error" and causes FS2004 to crash on ending flight thus generating the said error message.

Are there any fixe(s)?
Any patch(es)?
Replacement file(s)?

Would be great to repair this problem...  Thanks...

Jim:

The link reference to the file is at "http://www.simviation.com/fs2002panels2.htm" link named as "FS2000/ 2002 Boeing 747-1/2/300 series."  This link directs to "http://63.217.28.218/files/1panels/747_classic_panel_fs2x.zip."

I hope this answers your question.  Thanks Jim...

If you are sure it is that gauge (there are 4 of them that start with HGHB* and I only tested 1) I had no problem with it in FS2002 or FS2004.

I'm not sure what this gauge is since I didn't test the functionality.  I can only tell you that it does not generate that error on my system.

My FS2004 installation is pretty much straight out of the box with only minor modifications.  You may need FSUIPC if you don't have it.

If you think it may be caused by a combination of the gauges or want to test the panel you can open the panel.cfg file in notepad and edit it to "rem out" gauges by putting // in front of the line, like this:

Change

 gauge09=HGHB_ED461a_CTRL_2,  235,704,119,51 to
//gauge09=HGHB_ED461a_CTRL_2,  235,704,119,51
