I,m new to this and would like to know if there are any freeware panel design softwares available so that i can have a dabble.

Well, the program was originally designed for FS2000, but it seems to work well in 2k2 and 2k4.
CfgEdit. Found here:
http://www.cfgedit.com/Its the freeware version of FS Panel Studio (payware) which works amazingly well in desiging panels). I haven't ever tested it in 2k4 (don't own it) but I have heard that it works just the same.
