Runway Lighting

Postby davegrippo » Sat Oct 25, 2003 7:28 pm

Many "real" airports have adjustable runway lighting.
Tune your com to the correct freq., and then click your mike to dim or brighten the lights.  3 for low 5 for med and 7 for high+ils strobes.

I have no idea if this is even possible, or if it has already been adressed, but any tips on tweeking the brightness of runway lighting in flightsim would be much apreciated.  (2004 preferably)

Thank You,
Steve

Well, there is an addon that increases the brightness of the lights everywhere, permanently.  If this is what you want, you can find it somewhere on SimV.  Just search for "runway lights" or something like that.

If you're talking about increasing them or decreasing them as desired, I don't know.  It seems to me that this is probably possible, with a little tweaking and a good airport design program.

I have an addon that has a very large hangar with doors operated by the radio.  You just turn to the right frequency and the doors disappear.  The only name I can find for it is BigHangar Version 2.0, located somewhere in Germany.  The creator is Dirk E. Fassbender.  He mentions something about help with the frequency stuff in his ReadMe file, but it is for FS2002.

His website is www.dirkfassbender.de and his email is email@dirkfassbender.de

Hope this helps some.
