Airport Hills

I have recently obtained a copy of Airport (2.6 Build 146). I have made a few settings and stuff - they work fine. I am now wondering how you create mountains. There are quite a few mountain settings on SimV and I was wondering how they were made.

Scenery created with conventional design applications like Airport or FSSC is basically flat. For mountains in CFS1 you would need to use Elevated Mesh. The only program I know for creating it is MW's CfsTmap. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/programs/cfstmap.htm

There might be similar programs. I've never tried it but it looks a tad complicated to me.

You don't mention which flightsim you want to design for. If it's CFS1, Terrabuilder lite is excellent! You can see what can be done on our site (H_Squad).  http://www.navyair.com/scenery.html
(Valhalla and Skaha are mine). It can be used for later sims, but Photo Wizard must be used and I havn't tried it as of yet. Terrabuilder Lite is freeware and can be found here:  http://www.terrabuilder.com/  If you are designing for CFS1, Synth Wizard is what you use and I can help you with that. The TB website has a forum where you can learn much more. ;)
