help with first panel

Postby wish_bear » Thu Aug 21, 2003 7:39 am

I am trying to make my first glass panel for a T38C. I have some gauges I think I can change around to make them look correct, but if I change the gau (bmp)- it changes it for all aircrafts using that gauge. How can you make a copy and alter a gauge without ruining the original file? Is there a program that opens a gau file so you can see the original code?
How can you change the name of the file so it becomes a new gauge. I have FS Panel Studio- but it will only let me create a new gauge if the original was XML (very few 2K2 are)
Suggestions?

For conventional gauges take a copy of the GAU file & rename it to any name you wish before editing. I have no knowledge of XML gauges but assume you can use the same method. It's possible to modify/paint the BMPs in conventional gauges with Chuck Dome's GauBmp utility.
