Can you tell I love the airbus a3x0 planes? Well I do.
Hello everyone, just thought I'd start my tenure here on this forum by posting a few samples of my Ruth repaints.

I did use the ones available but then I noticed the proportions, lines, nuances and details are a little too far off compared to the real airplanes. So I rolled up my sleeves and embarked on a project to make some decent repaints of my favourite airplanes. I'm far from done but a few examples, my list so far includes:

a330-200 and -300 = Lufthansa, Air France, Klm, Qantas, Delta, SAS
a340-200, 300, 500 and 600 = Lufthansa, Air France, Swiss

Thanks. Sorry but I don't think I'll do the 737 ever in any form.
The 777 and 767 are next for me once I will be done with my a330's and a340's. As you can tell I love widebody liners and that's what motivates me.
I might do a few a321's and 757's but only if I'll still be motivated when I'm done with the widebody favourites.

PM me what you want done, maybe if it's not a too complicated job I can help. Otherwise I recommend you put up a request in the right section.

OK, time to go through what I'm doing and using the Delta a333 as an example (pics below).

- Corrected, sharpened and uniform template across all series and models
- Correct lines and color based on the real life counterparts by studying the pictures off airliners.net
Especially taking photo light into account when deciding nuance and hue for the paint. As an example: most people get the Lufthansa grey completely wrong. It's a actually a steely blue grey (tho I'm not elling you which color setting) that looks clean bright grey in a certain light and dark grey in another). Another example is Delta: the blue is not as dark as you'd think because the white itself is alot brighter than say Air Frances euro-white in reality.
- Keeping the lines and details right
For instance the KLM a330 have dark grey intake lining, Delta has white intakes, the rear metal band on the SAS a330 is dark, etc. Also what's important is not to just slab the paint on which some do but to blend it correctly and uniformly.
- Keeping all the wordmarks and logos the right proportion across all models and series
For instance my SAS A330-200 doesn't really exist so I have no real life counterpart to base the repaint on. However I have kept the correct proportions from the 300 series that exist onto the 200 series.

All in all the differences are easily missed I reckon which is why I'm explaining them now: what I'm going for is correctness, precision and uniformity.

Beyond that I have also taken upon myself to correct the aircraft.cfg files (no offense intended to Ruth but they're a bit off) to get the right weight, capacity, payload, fuel consumption and fixing the taxiing problem.
Hopefully I'll be done soon so I can have at the Boeing 767 and 777's. Man I love widebody liners!  ;D

To be honest I'm not quite sure Raoul.
I start with freeware and see how many fixes to the templates, VC and panels I can do or use on my own first. If that doesn't go well then I might go for payware.

Btw is it this 737 businessjet paint you want?

Well, finished two new ones today for Virgin Atlantic. One's the real G-VELD (pictured) and I also made a fictional 200 by using G-VSKY which was an older 343 that Virgin had once.

Well this is sad but... like real life I'm retiring the a343 and a342.
However that means extra focus on the a345 and a346 liveries now and I'm continuing to add a330 operators.

Here's the new virgin atlantic livery on an a346, note the subtle reflection map on the red for that nice shiny virgin look:

And a Cathay a333, going to TAM and US airways too since they're large a330 operators:

Hello!
Where can I download these repaints?

I havent finished all of them yet. Also I've been delayed since I've started from scratch since I felt I had to make new improved templates. I will be uploading all the models in packs later when I'm done here on this site.

A little update, I've started redoing the templates since the posky ones were so much sharper and better and I didnt like the difference in quality. Basically from scratch:
- New body and shading
- Every body-line and doors redone from scratch with vector tools
- All new windows (which I will apply to my posky 767 and 777 too)

All I got left now is to redo the engine pylons which, like the original template; are very miscolored and jaggedy. Basically the original is very mspaint with jagged and uneven lines, what I'm doing is the sharp even PS look you get with vector graphics.

Two examples, my newest additions to the pack I'm working on:
