[center]February Aircraft Repainting Competion

Well, Since I didn't really get a yes or a no from the moderators and/or administrators on this competition, but got plenty of good feedback from members on it, I decided to go ahead and make it.

So, uh, we just paint the Cub in whatever color we want?

Yep.  The Piper J-3 Cub is the theme.  Anything goes aslong as it's on a Piper J-3 Cub. :)

Time to get my paint brushes out. Got to finish Doug's DC-3 then start my repaint for this. ;)

I have mine more or less done. Do we have to paint the cockpit too? Because it's yellow... Or only the exterior counts?
Here's some pics of mine:

I can't believe how bad the Piper Cub is mapped. The wing is the worst part because it's a repeat map texture... Who uses that kind of mapping for a wing!? That's normally used in walls or grass or vast sections that can be mapped by a small repeated texture...

Nice camo. :)  ANd yes, it is quite a difficult one to master.
As for the cockpit, well, that's up to you.  It is in the texture folder, so it does count as part of the texture.  Though since it's not part of the aircraft exterior, it's not required.  Though adding things like 3D cockpit paints for it do add to the quality, which can help you with votes, though like I said, that part's totally up to you.

Hey dude cool idea, however you might wanna adjust this line in your rules 'The repaint must be in any way insulting or offensive to anyone. ' You missed out the 'not' :P

AGH!!!!  How did I miss that!!!!  I must have edited it about 10 times for rules!!!  How did I miss that!!!
And now the modify button's gone!!! :-[

Can a mod or admin please fix that? :-[
And yes, rule change.  Sorry to change the rules in the middle, but I'm now replacing rule 4f with the following.
4f.  Keep it appropriate!  The repaint must NOT be in any way insulting or offensive to anyone.  We don't want any issues here!

Alright, I haven't tested it yet, and I won't have time to today.  But I have found a few errors, sorry.

1.  It doesn't have any particular title.  It says "FSX Piper Cub Textures".  That's not any particular name, that's what it is.  Name it grey camo or something.
2.  For the "Posted by..."  It says "Ricardo Batalha"  It is supposed to be your EXACT username.
3.  There's no image for the entry!  You can just take one of the ones you put up earlier, or you can take a new one.  Make sure to remove the [img] tags.

You have until the end of the contest to fix it and re-submit it.  Though from the demo pics you showed earlier, it looks pretty good.

Well, I'm not gonna upload a duplicate of the file just because of the name... unless the admins are able to delete the one already there...
Texture:

They usually are willing.  But I guess since you went ahead and posted preview pics. before it went up, I guess I can let it slide.  The main purpose of that rule was to keep people from using other contestant's/non contestants entrys. (Like subitting them as their own entry before the actual maker can post to submit, or just useing someone else's who had no intention of entering at all)
So I guess it's good enough. :)
