[color=#000000]Right click on the aircraft.cfg, then click on Properties. Make sure the Read-only box beside Attributes is not ticked. And just below that, if the tab to the right of Security: says Unblock, click on it and unblock it. Let us know if that fixes it.

Best way to deal with this, is go to the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder, right-click (on that folder) and select properties from the menu.
Then go to the Security Tab and click the "Edit" button where it says "To change permissions, click Edit".
On the next tab, look for Users(Your Username\Users)
Click that and you will see some of the boxes below get ticks in them. Make sure all the boxes in the Allow column have ticks in them, then click OK... then wait for quite a while.
This will give you (as a user) full permissions to modify the files in the Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder (and all folders below that). It's a pain without this, it really is. After doing this, you will be able to modify any file in that folder, so it makes editing, repainting etc... far easier.
Just remember though that you now have the power to cause irreversible damage to files, so take care what you edit.
If you don't want to risk all that, just move the .cfg file to your desktop, edit it, and then move it back.
