need help turning planes black

ok so im trying to make my planes more stealthy but every time i try they turn like chrome. this is for FSX

i hate satelites they took away my favorit plane the sr-71 blackbird

Are you painting the Alpha channel or the aircraft itself?

Alpha textures are meant only to control the amount of shine on a plane.  Make the alpha white and the actual texture off the plane black. ;)
