Applying textures

A great entry on the design ladder, repainting can be rewarding & fun! Learn how here! (Not for repaint requests)

Applying textures

Postby xerxes » Thu Dec 10, 2009 6:04 pm

Since WOAI doesn't include FedEx anymore, I guess I have to do it myself.  I have the flight plans, the base aircraft and I have the FedEx textures that go on them.  How do you put the textures onto the a/c?  Cut and paste and edit the config file?

I can't find any posts that say how to do this.

Anyone have a link or an answer?

Hi there, and welcome to SimV!

Repainting can be fun, and I suggest you have a look herefirst. I think it will answer most of your questions, and should you still need answers...well this is the place to be!!!

the most common program to convert the texture files to bmp is DXTBMP. a brief google search will get a download for you.

enjoy!!!

Well, thanks for the welcome Johan.  I think this is gonna be a bit over my head and patience level.  Anything beyond cut and paste and editing config files is more headache than I want to deal with.

How about this:

Anybody have any WOAI packages for Fed Ex they could send me?

Thanks.

Anyone looking for FedEx AI flightplans and models, (as of 17 Dec 2009) Project AI has a complete FedEx AI package here:

Hope this saves someone the trouble I went through.  :'(
