textures don't show up

i just downloaded 5 planes. they all work fine but they have no paint. i'm using vista with fsx. the planes are coloured ok in the free flight menu. the 4 pack of jazz de havilland dash8-100

i've just download a hawker fury and the most textures are there.
on the other planes texture folder the imagines don't show up. instead there is a paint brush and palet. the hawker has the texture images. i hope someone can help. p.s. everything works eg flaps, controls, sound, gear up/down thanks

just downloaded the space shuttle launch "ride"
is this mission suppose to show a launch??
mine starts in the air
there are no flames or smoke??
also i downloaded the special ops parachuter.
no smoke from him either!!!
how do you get him on a plane??
am i helping anyone to solve my problem???
am i looking in the right direction???
am i on my own?????

i found an aircraft that is dx10 compatibility and it works perfect
how can i make the other planes work with dx10

I don't have FS.X but I think if you turn the DX10 off the others will show

well i tried to uncheck the dx10 preveiw. no luck!!! so i unistalled the whole game then reinstalled and everything works colors everywhere!!
