Beginner's Question

Postby Goofyfish » Mon Dec 08, 2008 2:24 am

Hello, gang.
Let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and
an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight.

DTX1 does not support an alphachannel, but DTX3 does, so saving it as an DTX3, or as I do, an extended 32 bit BMP, will give you an alpha channel.
Use save as>extended bitmap> select whatever it is you want.

Hope this helps,

If you add the alpha in DXTBMP there should be no problem as long as the saved choice supports it

Appreciate the tip... in actuality, I am struggling with "noise" pixels just in saving my work in .bmp format in the editing application.  I'll keep the 888-8 format in mind when I get serious.

I smell a new hobby here...

;)
