Dash 7 repaint

Postby Rachet1031 » Sat Nov 25, 2006 9:22 am

Was curious if anyone has repainted the the Dash 7 by Milton Shupe and painted by Joao Paz. I donwloaded a paint kit for it and am having a hard time understanding how to convert and merge etc with the kit. Just curius if any one could shed some light on this for me.

You bet.
What is the filename of the paint-kit?
Which paint-prog do you use?

Hey wji I am using a kit that I downloaded from the Dash 7 homp page along with a how to zip file that just totaly confused me (not surprising). The kit file name is d7pspkit.zip (he states this is for PSP 6 or later) and I am using PSPX. I got most of what I want in the file its the mirror and merging that he tells how to do in the how to file that is getting me. Gonna take another run at tonight. I realize this is an old paint file but feel its more of the guy (me) that is having the trouble

You can find the file here.  http://www.flightsimonline.com/repainters/

Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks for the links
I'll go and d/l it and take a look at d7pspkit.zip then get back to you. Most paint_kits have similar characteristics but it doesn't hurt to be specific whenever possible. I don't use that model but that's not what we are discussing.

Warning: Posting a link here to another online sim-site could be hazardess -- the forum police are watching  :'(

Roger that, PK
I use the model=cargo (the only one I can find) for Shupe's great, FREE DHC7-101.
I made a paint_kit for it and have the Youtube-video-to-prove-it

There's an injunction against linking to other files/sites directly more as a precaution against unwanted files/trojans, etc.

Also, to make people aware that many times a file on another site may probably already be in Simviation.

Also, many other sites do not want to receive external calls to specific pages/files  and prefer the user to go to the site's main page and navigate from there.

Well I have been working on the repaint, but when I look at it in FS9 the addtion I make to it are blurry. I am saving as a DXT3 and I unchecked the mipmap which is what should be done as I understand it. Any suggestions?

Thanks
