CS KC-130 alpha

I recently purchased the Captain Sim KC-130, which, understandably is a model with fuel tanks on the wings (outside of engines 1 & 4).

What I've been trying to do, is create two variations of each livery, one with tanks and one without. I've tried creating an alpha channel to mask out the tanks, but it's just making them shine.

Is it possible to create transparent alpha channels on the Captain Sim '130, or am I just gonna have to live with the tanks on every variation?

Thanks.

Does the CS 130 not come with a model config program that lets you customise the config of the a/c, including removing tanks?

I thought that question might be asked. ;D

As I believe, it removes the tanks between the engines. The KC-130 specifically has the two outer tanks too, outside of the number 1 and 4 engines. It looks OK, but a little strange with non KC-130 liveries.

I see.. I beleive the answer is, no, you cant. If the Alpha just makes the tanks shiney, then it cant be used to make them transparent.  :P

you will have to buy the base pack to get it without tanks, sorry, although they are having a huge sale so you can get it insanely cheap, keep in mind that the textures for all the models except for the J are interchangeable.

I'm not that bothered, TBH. I can live with fuel tanks on the wings! ;)
