ok, I posterized a texture then edited it... is there a way to (de)posterize it back to the normal colors but with my edit intact? or is simply "Undo" the only way?

Thanks in advance,
Demo

One of PhotoShops's best features is the Step Backward command on the Edit menu. The best way of course is only make changes to a New Adjustment Layer leaving the original intact; this of course, after already Creating Duplicate Image. The PSD commands are all there it's simply a matter of using them.

He means you leave the original in the first layer, do the next thing in another layer, and the next in another layer and then merge them if you like all changes, savy?

"I don't get what you mean... "

Gee, and I thought it was fairly straightforward  ;)

1.) Step Backward command on the Edit menu
2.) make changes to a New (Adjustment) Layer
3.) Creating Duplicate Image

There, now surely one can understand this; provided of course, they have PhotoShop in which they can experiment with said (basic) commands.

There are several onliine PSD tutorials; here's one:

Before you start please read this. GO SLOW and follow this tutorial and all books carefully. Learning Photoshop does not come over night. The more time that you spend in playing with Photoshop you will understand it more.
