Rick Piper's FSDS HS.748

Has anyone besides me noticed the textures for Rick's Hawker are different from other aircraft? Maybe it's the model but the planes are not viewable in FSRepaint but do show in FS9. Wierd.

In this image I added the Rolls' logos to the engines; the logos are in the paint_kit but not used on the repaint(s).
Thanks to rick for this Freebee.

Hi WJI

It was noticed in testing that the model will not load into FSRepaint.

I am one of the FSDS3 beta testers @ Abacus and none of the guys knew why it would not work.

Sorry for that mate.

I think it's because of the slight differences of a complicated model from FSDS3 is not quite the same as one from GMAX.

Even though they both go through Makemdl there are still a few bugs in FSDS3 that cause errors.

Once the new makemdl file id out for FSX i hope it gets sorted but no idea when that will happen.

the RR badge is used on some liveries that are not out yet and it is just on the Base texture template.
the Emerald Jem livery does not have it like that either ::)   :D

Regards
Rick ;)

Thanks, Rick, for the info It's always nice to hear from the source. Not viewing in FSRepaint isn't a big deal for me as I repaint with PhotoShop anyway but you have explained it quite clearly and I understand how this can happen.
