I just grabbed a file for repainting the Baron 58.
it is ONE .psd file only.

What I don't understand is how do I save this so it will work???
The default baron aircraft folder is made up of a BUNCH of files not just one...

any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

That one file is pretty much all you need (assuming its the one with "_t" on the end).  It's the main texture set.  The rest are for things like damaged parts (never see those in stock FS aircraft, don't know why they're there . . .) interior stuff, etc.

If you repaint that one file, the whole exterior will be redone.

To make a successful repaint out of that, just make a copy of the original paintjob and then drop that file in there.  Copy over when prompted.

Problem is that it seems to be ALL layers wrapped up into one file.

It is the _t -c and -d all in one...I am trying to sort out the layers now and then save them as _t _c and -d but it is extremely slow going...

not real sure why they would save thse like this...

Sounds intriguing, which file is it?  Can you provide a link?

I guess they were trying to save download space . . . ::)

More trouble than help, it sounds like!

If the textures weren't so incredibly good I wouldn't have messed with it, but somebody went to ALOT of trouble to make these.

wji..
Why yes I am :)

12 layers in there...but it is ALL the layers.
theres no differentiation between the _c _T -D
files, so I don't know exactly how to save them and which layers to turn off etc.
I about have it all figured out except for the landing gear wells...working on that now..

I've just had a look at the file, that's a very comprehensive repaint kit.  Although it does seem a bit odd to have the VC floating around in there as well.

Turn on only the layers you want (the relevant ones are active by default), do your repainting and save the whole thing as a BMP, replacing the -T file.  Don't forget to also run it through dxtbmp.exe to convert it to 32-bit.

To repaint the VC, turn off all the layers except the VC layer and repaint that, saving it as a BMP and replacing the -c file.
