That sounds weird, can you post a screenshot of what it looks like?

At the top of this page, there's a thin blue bar across the screen.  In the middle of this bar, click where it says 'Upload Images' and follow the instructions there.

You almost got this one right, except for two things.

First, you chopped off the [ from the /img] at the end of the line.

Second, you need to change the line to replace "yourpic.jpg" with the name of the file you uploaded.  In this case, it would be [ img]http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/b747.jpg[/img]

(And you can ignore the space I put at the start of the [ img] code, I just did that to make it visible here)

But for some reason the picture's not working  ???

Is the file too big, more than 100kb?

You could just send the file to me, my email is in my profile, and I'll take a look and post it here for you.

Keep trying, we'll get it sorted out!

You'll be glad to know there's a simple solution to your problem  :)

Here's what you were trying to post earlier:
Image

The textures on a 747 are saved as several different files, one of these is b747_400_T.bmp which contains most of the external colours like this:
Image
That's the one you did your repaint on, obviously.

But there is also one called decal_b747_400.bmp that is just a logo for Global Freightways, like this:
Image
(It appears right way around on the plane)

When you saved your repaint, you replaced the Global logo instead of the big file with all the external colours.  So FS9 continued using the default texture, and put your repaint where the Global logo used to be!

The solution is simply to open up your repainted file again, and this time save it over the top of b747_400_T.bmp instead.

Let us know how it goes!
