Transparency help

Postby CODY614 » Fri Jan 13, 2006 8:41 pm

Can anyone tell me how to work with this?
Image

The repaint I'm working on will not need this. The tip is painted different colors with out the logo.
Here's the file....I guess my question is, How would I paint this to match the tip colors?

Or am I going to be stuck doing a hit or miss paint thing till I get it right?

I'd like to helpful but I'm mostly confused. You have the Ceranados_prop file open and are asking about a transparency.

"The tip is painted different colors with out the logo."

Do you mean wing-tip or prop-tip?

If you just want to repaint the wing-tips why not open the wing file and throw some paint at it?

P.S. That alpha channel looks scary

Well that's the problem.....Below the "Stationair 6 II" you can see "Cessna" in gold. That is what put's it on the wing tip!
>:(
He's got some strange ways of painting....
What I did was selected the 'Cessna" and filled it with yellow,Which is the color of the tip....Re-imported the alpha with DXT...But it came out a little to yellow.
What I'll do is keep trying till I get to blend O-kay...I some other work to do on the repaint anyway...
Thanks "wji".....I'll post when I get it right..
