#1 - What aircraft are you trying to open, or is it when you're first opening the program and it is scanning for the aircraft?
#2 - Try setting your renderer to "software" and trying again...

Have you just installed a repaint? Just a guess, but I figure you might have left [fltsim.xx] in the aircraft.cfg file instead of changing it to the next available number.

I suggest you write to Abacus customer support...
e-mail: adam@abacuspub.com
He can either answer the question or refer it to someone who may help you.

Gosh, no. The source files at the Freeflight Design Shop (as well as the source files in the Simviation "Orphans" have been contributed voluntarily (ok, so I've begged for a few) by their builders over the years. I'm merely the site's "caretaker"
(namely, I opened my mouth once too many times and in a fit of drunken revelry, the FFDS guys voted me in - if you notice, most of them lie low, and haven't figured out a way to live down the ignominy )..
While we still carry many source files made with Flight Shop and AF99, as well as FSDS1/2 and gmax, we don't part with the old files since a. they're still useful to some as references (I've used a few as backdrops when I don't have a good three view).

i did about a week ago but no one replied. it wasnt that address, it was
info@abacuspub.com, i dont know if that makes a difference.
It appears you have a version problem. Possibly you have the CD version? I believe that the CD version is 1.06,
Send Adam an e-mail -
adam@abacuspub.com directly, or call him up and tell him about this problem. You'll probably get a link to download the latest version.
(PS... They also came back from a limited crew last week to find computer/phone/email problems...)

I'll make one last attempt at explaining.
IF you have the CD version, that is one of the original versions, pre-FS9. When FS9 and the new graphics engine came out, there was a maintenance version of FS Repaint issued to address certain compatibility issues.
Your computer may have a different hardware/driver setup than mine, or that other computer.
I talked with Abacus about your problem, they appear to have seen it before.
I don't know what is your reluctance to contact Abacus on this matter. You told me that info@abacuspub.com was the correct e-mail address, even though I provide you with the direct e-mail of the person that can help you.
If you don't want to contact Abacus directly, there's not much more I, or anyone else, can do for you.
I'm done with this problem.
