Transparency Strikes again

Postby Jakemaster » Sat Dec 10, 2005 8:18 am

Okay, now on a different plane.  The Cessna 206 by those french guys (sorry, dont know names)

I want to get rid of the wheel pants, but alas, doing the whole black in the alpha did absolutely nothing.  I dont know what to do.   Do I need to save in a different format?  Do I need to paint it black in the normal texture?  Please help!

If those wheel pants are part of the visual model I don't think you can lose them by using transparent textures. Even if the textures themselves don't display the parts they're applied to will. The only way I know of doing this would be to modify the model itself & for this you would need the original source file & the 3D modelling program used to create it.

I took a tour flight around Sedona, AZ in a 206. Got the French guys 206 as well and wanted to repaint it as the plane I rode in. The real one didn't have the wheel pants either. Tried to find one without it but no luck. :(
