Color Chrome

I Would like to know. Is there a way to paint a plane in color chrome ? In the 60s I saw a kit with valve covers and carburator cover done in red chrome. They only had 3 colors red, green or blue.Beautiful. I would like to have a P51D Mustang done in red chrome.

Clarification, please! ;D

Give me an image of some colored chrome.  I have an idea, but don't want to waste time explaining if it won't be what you need.

Cheerio!

yes, its possible. All you do, is put the colour you want on the normal texture, then put a medium Alpha layer over the parts to give chrome. Hey presto, coloured chrome.

I can expand on that if theres anything you dont get, or dont know how to do.
