i am new to cfs2 and i just repainted the B-17 molly by herbieG and the bottom is black and the ailrons are shadowing them selves. and now i tried to repaint the  P-39D digital Camo by steven martinez. lol i think he scanned the camo from his BDU. and i didnt want the cloth "texture" on it so i repainted it from some of the colors on his repaint and now the game model does not show my repaint?? lol this is confusing for me let alone you people.

Try running your textures through Martin Wright's DxtBmp and save as DXT1 format. Available at his site and the usual suspects.

Doesn't matter which paint program you use to do the textures. The DxtBmp program should allow you to  get them into a better final format .

Compress the textures into either DXT-1, 8 Bit or 16 Bit 565 for CFS2 :)

Its okay i figured it out. ;) it took me awhile but i think the p-39 just needed an extended type file. and the B-17 i fix the windows and i repaint the entire thing with modern british type colors like shades of slate. now i need to know how to publicize them like on here. they are pretty cool. if i do say so myself lol.

get some good screenshots, i dread to thinmk using paint, but make them 800 pixels wide, by 600 deep, and save as .jpg  you'll need to make sure all pictures are less than 100kb, but with that size, mspaint usually take them to less than 100kb. then upload them here, via the "forum upload page" see the link near freeware screenshots.. i wont go into all the porocess, its explained there.
