I am repainting  a fs2002 FA18 and everything was goin fine till i got to the sections of plane that have lights.  When i run fs to check it the textures with lights are gone.  you can actually see thru the plane where the texture should be. not sure how to put a pic up here to explain better but it is if the plane was not completed in certain areas.  i am using psp 8, fs2002 along with DXTbmp

Probably, the model you have was not built per the FS2002 SDK (not using gmax or FSDS2) or that the model was not built to allow reflections (i.e., the alpha channel controls reflections, otherwise, transparency)

Parts need to be tagged during model construction so that flight simulator recognizes these parts as reflective, and then the texture's alpha channel is read to see the level of reflections - otherwise, the alpha channel is read as the level of transparency.
