I just downloaded this very realistic plane. So what I want to do is...

Take the wing textures and add them on to the default 737-400. Is there any way to do this?

By the way, the aircraft is the Continental 737-522 in the 2004 civil jets.

The aircraft is good, cept for the actualy plane textures, they come in that gray smog look.

Help is appreciated, thanks!

Transferring different textures to other aircraft is difficult.

An aircraft in FS will not utilize any texture that is not:

A: The same name as the texture that is supposed to be used at the same juncture.  IE=a texture for the default 747 will not transfer directly to the default 737.

B: Not in the same format as the original.  To save as the original format, sometimes you need Imagetool, available on the FS2002 Pro disc.  I don't know where to get it otherwise.

I would suggest repainting the aircraft textures in the scheme you would prefer.  That seems to me the only way to do what you are asking.

You can get Imagetool here, at SimV...

Look about half way down the page for a Splash Screen Creator Program.

Here's the direct link to the zip... It's 2.7megs.

Just as an afterthought: a better program to use for this is DXTBmp.  I just downloaded it yesterday and it works better than Imagetool.  To get it, do a search on the web for DXTBmp.  That should do it.  Good luck!
