Hernan. I sympathise as the same thing happened to me only this week. DxtBmp here. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/index.htm

Imagetool is included with FS2002 Pro. As I remember, it's tucked away in the FS2002\gmax folder. If you don't have the Pro version, I think it's part of the FS2002 MakeMDL SDK. http://zone.msn.com/flightsim/FS02DevDeskSDK00.asp

Doug, Thanks so much for your reply. I knew I could count on you my dear ol' friend. Its always a pleasure to communicate with you. I went through the nightmare I read almost daily in these forums, and this happened while trying to tweak my Ultimate Traffic. But now that I'm starting over again, I wanted to start clean, so I bought FS2004 "A Century of Flight", and as if my computer had a curse of some sort, the software wouldn't work, only 3/4 of the display would show, I've been  communicating with Microsoft support and still it does not work,so I've decided to exchange it for a new one. Thanks again, and take care, Hernan :D

What is Imagetool used for?  I have it (Pro edition) and I don't know what to do with it.

Basically, Imagetool is used for converting & saving textures in the various FS texture formats. I rarely, if ever, use it as DXTBmp does all I need.

I generally only use ImageTool to convert files to 32 bit so they can be opened in programs like PaintShop Pro.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Ahhhh!  I see said the blind man.  So it can turn the f'd up textures into usable data, right?  I can use that to convert unusable a/c stuff to PSP usable stuff, yes?

Image Tool is located in the following thread:
FS2002/gmax/flightsim/gamepacks/FlightSim/Image Tool
you can send your Image Tool to your Desktop. It will always be accessible...Hernan :)

or - I cheat - I use Abacus FS Repainter (I liked the original working name better - FSArt)

Seriously, though, the "well equipped repainter" should not be without DXTBMP.exe.
