Guys just trying to find out who I need permission from when I want to repaint a plane, the author or the painter or both? Another question is, if in the docs there is no Email address for the person I need permission from what do I do? Just to let you know, its the F-16C by Giuseppe Chiacchietta, (Bepino).

First thing is to check the read-me!! I spent a lot of time 'fixing' a plane to work in FS2002 and now have been told that just changing the file was illegal, as it was a repainted payware plane that should not have been here in the first place!!
Becareful!!

X, This is the F-16C by Giuseppe Chiacchietta, (Bepino) Which is a freeware model as the read me states. Just wondering whos permission I need, the author or the painter. The skins that I found are not original with the F-16 it self, they are repaints.

You will need the permission of the designer, and if you are just modifying a repaint, then the artist too. I've yet to come across anyone who said NO.

I finally found an email for the designer but there is no artist name with this skin. What can I do?

In the readme file put a note acknowledging their work.

Also important to point out, most guys don't mind if you're doing it for your own personal use...but if they're going to put it on a website, such as Simviation, it's always nice to get the okay. ;)

These repaints will be only used by the members of my VA only.
